Year 6 Tudor Life Project
Year
6 dressed up as Tudors as part of their class project. We had a great day
taking part in Drama sessions and then made our own comic style presentations
to depict Tudor times.
Year 5 Paultons Park Trip
Year 5 went to Paultons Park this half term. We were
feeling very excited about going, however we were also feeling nervous about
going on some of the rides! Firstly, we went to Professor Blast’s Learning Lab
for a session about minibeasts and how they adapt to their habitats. We enjoyed
learning about the Macleay stick insect which is very clever as it could
disguise itself as a scorpion to avoid being eaten. We also learnt about the
physics behind some of the rides in the park in the afternoon by using the
interactive models that you can see in the pictures.
During the rest of the day we went on all the rides. Many of
us enjoyed the Cobra because of the swerves and spins. We also enjoyed the
Magma ride and seeing the new Dinosaur section of the park. Luckily we didn’t
get too wet either! At the end of the day we went to the gift shop and got some
souvenirs to remember the park.
We all had a great day as we had lots of fun as
well as learning some interesting facts about Science!

Trip to The Living Rainforest
Year 2 went to the Living Rainforest this week. We found out so many interesting facts about the rainforest and animal adaptations.
"I loved the Living Rainforest because we saw amazing, colourful Toucans and we learnt about what they eat. Did you know that Toucans eat Brazil nuts?" - Ollie
"The best part about our trip was seeing the hairy Sloth. She moved really slowly. Did you know that the word sloth comes from the word slow?" - Lara
If you want to find out about amazing rainforest animals you should visit the Living Rainforest.
Here are some photos from our trip.....

Squirrels Class - Spring Walk
In Squirrels we have been looking at the signs of spring. We
went for a walk around the school and spotted flowers, buds on trees and new
shoots emerging.
We have some tadpoles visiting from the school pond. We will
be watching them over the next few weeks to see how they grow and change into
frogs.
