Tennis Festival
On
Tuesday 3rd May, our class (Skylarks) were going to go to King’s
school and get better at tennis.
We
left at 12:30 after we had our lunch. Before I knew it, we had left school and
started walking to King’s. We got there at 1 o’clock and went to our first
activity. But before that, we split into groups. My group was Alex, Charlie,
Joseph, Dylan CW, Kara and Bayleigh. The first activity was the ladders and my
partner was Charlie. You had to run through the ladders with the racket and
then they would throw you a ball for you to hit back, then you would switch.
My
favourite activity was squash because we kept hitting it so hard we had to run
and get it, and it was a bit competitive. The
most energetic drill was the cone game. You were against someone, and the
leader said things to distract you, and then when he said ‘Go!’ you had to grab
the cone.
Later
on, it was the end of the festival and we walked back. After that, I liked
tennis more and I will play it more.
Sam
V
Skylarks would like to say a
big thank you to Mrs Marshall for organising this exciting outing and Mr Bergin
for kindly giving up his time to come along and help out.
